"KUTA JAYA..a so called superior hotel on the beach front in Legian.  This is a very friendly hotel however there have been many complaints over the last few years... Poor management and lack of good maintenance and sometimes a not so clean pool are concerns. The location is excellent! It has beach frontage to maybe the best beach in Bali.  You can walk the lane ways at night safely. They have safety deposit boxes and are cool about using the fridge in the room for your own drinks etc.

Food and drinks are very expensive.  They have tried to make the hotel more user friendly. With little success to date, but they ARE trying. The tv and movie reception in the rooms is bad. The grounds are at times very unkept, but they are trying to upgrade the hotel. They have turned it into an Ocean Blue Club hotel. Catering for young people. They still will accept bookings for older guests but many travel agents will not sell it because of its past record.

The most important factor is the friendliness of the staff...probably as good as any in Bali.   Recommended if you aren't in your room a lot and just want a good time in Bali."

HOTEL LEGIAN PARADISO
"LEGIAN PARADISO is a hotel situated in Legian Street. It is secluded and a bit of a walk to the beach.  Food and drinks are expensive and attract a tax on everything.   Clean.  The rooms are OK.  TV and videos are OK.   You can get them to play your own cd movies on the hotel system!
The pool is small and clean.

Restaurant is ok. Nothing outstanding. Meals are expensive. You can cross the road and cut thru the laneways to the beach. Maybe 5 minutes walk.

From the hotel you can only turn right driving so that is a bit of a hassle. You have to go round the one way circuit to go north!
out of 10.we would give it.  Compared to the better hotels it would rate a 3 or 4.  Staff are friendly, fairly clean hotel, but not near the beach."
